Schedule a Consultation

Our consultation provides a thorough review and analysis of your immigration matters. We present options and work with you to formulate resolutions that achieve your goals in a timely and cost-effective manner.

We are usually able to provide an estimate of costs during the consultation and in many cases, flat-fee rates are available.

Consultations are approximately one hour and are available at our offices or via telephone.

Documentation.
In order for us to give you the best legal advice, it is important that we have as much information as possible about your case. To better facilitate the consultation process, please provide, if possible, the following documentation:

  • Current and expired passports, with I-94 cards;

  • Current and expired employment authorization documents;

  • Driver's license and birth certificate;

  • Previous immigration or criminal documentation, such as
    correspondence with a government agency, police records, or
    court orders; and

  • Any other documentation requested when you schedule an
    appointment.

If you have worked with previous immigration or criminal counsel, and you do not have a complete copy of documents filed on your behalf, it may become necessary for you to obtain copies of your files. Lawyers are required to keep client files and produce copies upon client request, although they may charge a fee to do so.

Interpretation. If you require language assistance, you may bring your own interpreter who is fluent in your language and English and is over the age of 16. A Spanish/English interpreter is available through our firm for $30.

Consultation Fee for New Clients is $100. For particularly complex consultations or if we need to review substantial amounts of documents that cause the consultation to run more than an hour-and-a-half, we will charge an additional $100. If we are asked to conduct a consultation at the Prince William County Adult Detention Center, the fee is $200 and the Spanish/English interpreter fee is $60.

Consultation for Lawyers. We are pleased to assist other lawyers with questions. We do not charge for this service as a professional courtesy unless the question is more complex or involves research.

Payment. We gratefully accept cash, check, and Visa or Master Card for the consultation and follow-on case work. Payment plans are available for retainers.
