Collaboration with Other Professionals

In the course of providing representation to our clients, we may use the services of contract lawyers and/or collaborate with other law firms in order to provide our clients with the best possible representation.

We are active in the American Immigration Lawyers Association, and we are a part of several nation-wide listservs for immigration law specialists, which keep us updated about immigration trends locally and from around the United States. We also participate in an Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) working group on improving detention standards for immigrants.

We often use experts, psychologists, and doctors in the course of representation, especially when preparing for court. We may send our client’s to specialists for attachment evaluations, counseling, or medical care.

We work closely with community support groups and government agencies in the DC metro area, Prince William County, and Winchester, and we have nationwide contacts to give our out-of-state clients.

Sometimes our clients are in need of specialized attention, and in those cases, we use volunteers to guide the client and his or her family through accessing services, job information, skills training, and English as a second language (ESL) classes. We also have an extensive referral list to alternative care providers who provide life coaching, alternative healing services, and well-being services.
